Every 2nd Saturday of the month from 11:00-14:00 we award seahorses, bronze and silver! Then we take swimming badges - without pre-registration, without reservation. If you're fit and pass the test, you'll of course get a certificate and patch straight away.
From May to the end of August, the Kaltenkirchen warm-water outdoor pool is open (depending on the weather conditions) and is accessible for our HolstenTherme guests. The passage is located in the palm garden.
A visit is free of charge, but outstanding balances need to be paid in advance. Please read out the "Smart Key" at the EC machine and pay the amount before visiting the outdoor pool. The "smart key" will also bring HolstenTherme guests back. In the open-air swimming pool, HolstenTherme guests have access to lockers for their valuables.
Please do not take any bags into the open-air swimming pool. Only cash payment is possible in the outdoor pool kiosk.
All guests should have fun in the HolstenTherme - safety is very important! For this reason, children who are not yet able to swim, or are unsure of swimming, are only allowed to visit when accompanied by an adult with parental authority. (Please bring your swimming pass with you!)
If children under 12 years of age wish to visit on their own, please show their swimming pass at the reception desk when checking in. If they do not yet have a swimming pass but can swim well, a free pre-swimming session with the HolstenTherme swimming supervisor would be the solution. The child shows the swimming supervisor that the water depths of the HolstenTherme are not dangerous. The following performances in the 1.80 m deep sports pool are recorded: Jumping off the starting block and swimming 100 m. Swim about 80 m, then dive 1.80 m deep, fetch an object and swim to the end of the lane. Once this has been achieved, the children/young people are allowed to visit the HolstenTherme in future without the accompaniment of an adult with the certificate and the consent of their parents.
By the way: the swimming supervisor also takes swimming badges, such as the Seahorse and the German Youth Swimming Badge. And of course there are swimming courses for all ages at the HolstenTherme!
